Creating views

You can create views for products or variants, following the same process for either. First, open the catalogue and switch to Products or Variants, depending on what you want your view to contain.

Choose a static view to save a specific selection, or a dynamic view to create a list that updates automatically based on filters.

Create a static view​

Static views contain products or variants you select manually. They are useful for shortlists, curated collections or any selection you want to keep unchanged until you edit it.

  1. Open the catalogue and switch to Products or Variants.
  2. Use the checkboxes to select the items you want to include.
  3. Open the Views selector in the top-left corner and choose Create products view or Create variants view, depending on your current list.
  4. Enter a name for the view.
  5. Under Type of view, select Static.
  6. Click Create view.

Your new view contains the selected items. Other products or variants will not be added automatically.

Create a dynamic view​

Dynamic views use filters to determine which products or variants belong to a view. The list updates automatically whenever catalogue information changes and items start or stop matching those filters.

  1. Open the catalogue and switch to Products or Variants.
  2. Click Filter, choose the attributes and conditions you need, and apply the filters.
  3. Open the Views selector in the top-left corner and choose Create products view or Create variants view.
  4. Enter a name for the view.
  5. Under Type of view, select Dynamic.
  6. Make sure Apply current filters to new view? is selected.
  7. Click Create view.

The view now contains all items matching your saved filters and updates as the catalogue changes.

Example: To create a dynamic view of products whose names begin with P, switch to Products, set the filter Name > Starts with > P, and save it as a dynamic view. The same approach works for variants.

Open a saved view​

  1. Open the Products or Variants list.
  2. Click the Views selector in the top-left corner.
  3. Search for or select the view you want to open.

To return to the full catalogue, select All products or All variants.
